With the deep blue sea as my muse, the dynamic of order, chaos, and the space between is the impetus of my work. To amplify this potent trinity, I incorporate studies in color theory and the effects that light and underwater depth have on color.
My medium is acrylics, where I create meticulous drawings of marine life abstractions, then using the translucent properties of the medium, I layer color, shape and pattern to construct a trifold of backgrounds (back, middle, front), to visualize shapes, forms, structures and geometries not yet discovered but made possible to realize.
