Thank you for stopping by to check out this Blog. Please bear with me while I get the hang of things- although I am quite excited to share my process, ideas, inspirations and thoughts with whomever is willing to read them as I embark on this journey. For now, a little bit about myself and my work;
What is it that I do?
I paint abstractions of marine life in bright, vivid, colors, shapes and forms.
How do I do it?
Imagination, wonder and awe. The amount of time I spend looking at images by amazing underwater photographers from all over the world may begin to border on unhealthy. But the colors, shapes and feelings it brings me puts me right back into the state I am in while SCUBA diving, and i endeavor to capture these moments of bliss in my art work. Those of you who are hooked on SCUBA are probably shaking you head up and down.
Why do I do it?
There is no better individual feeling to me than being in or near the ocean exploring the surf, tidal pools and coral reefs while the motion of the ocean waves back and forth in all of its rhythmic beauty and wonder.
